The Vatnheim Vikings (formerly Nordhere) and its members have been involved over the years in portraying Viking Living History for many public educational and entertainment events and workshops, including the Prairie Paladin Market & Faire (Museum of Antiquities, U of S), Oktoberfest (German Concordia Club), Folkfest, as well as out-of-province festivals such as the Islendingadagurinn (Icelandic festival) in Gimli, Manitoba.

The Vatnheim Vikings’ extended family often welcomes members of all ages from sister groups from across the Prairies, including Manitoba and Alberta to make our shows even livelier and spice things up with extra rivalry. These are just a few of our fun-filled combat & living history vikes!

Members of the Vatnheim Vikings travelled to Dauphin, Manitoba to assist with the Claimhte Solais Viking group’s Viking Village display during Culture Days.

Medieval Times in the U of S Bowl,
hosted by the Museum of Antiquities means combat galore and a diverse Viking Village! This event event features a medieval surgery demo (all gory with *fake* blood of course), courtesy of the Vatnheim Vikings!
